Loin de l\u2019isolement, \u00e0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">l\u2019image de certains philosophes de son temps, il recherche la beaut\u00e9 en dehors de lui-m\u00eame, <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">car selon lui, son corps est corrompu apr\u00e8s le p\u00e9ch\u00e9 originel. Partant d\u2019une rh\u00e9torique <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">oxymorique qui associe en m\u00eame temps des mots paradoxaux, il inspire un po\u00e8te loin de son <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00e9poque, Charles Baudelaire. Cet article, dont l\u2019objectif est de relever des traces de Pascal dans <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">la po\u00e9sie de l\u2019auteur de Les Fleurs du mal, r\u00e9ussit \u00e0 montrer leur rapport consubstantiel. Mais <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">l\u2019originalit\u00e9 du po\u00e8te symboliste r\u00e9siste dans sa conception du Beau sous l\u2019angle de <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">l\u2019esth\u00e9tique. Utilisant dans sa po\u00e9sie le laid et le sublime, il trouve au fond de l\u2019\u00eatre cette <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">dualit\u00e9. Far from isolating himself, like some of the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">philosophers of his time, he sought beauty outside himself, because, in his view, his body was<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">corrupted by original sin. Using an oxymoronic rhetoric that combines paradoxical words, he<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">inspired a poet far removed from his time, Charles Baudelaire. This essay, which aims to <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">identify traces of Pascal in the poetry of the author of Les Fleurs du mal, shows their <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">consubstantial relationship. But the originality of the Symbolist poet lies in his conception of <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Beauty from an aesthetic point of view. Using the ugly and the sublime in his poetry, he found <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">this duality at the very core of his being.
