Through Sula in Sula, Morrison transcends racial boundaries and hatred for true tolerance and true love between African Americans and white Americans. Scrutinizing some critics\u2019 assumptions, this essay revisits, from a radical feminist perspective, Sula\u2019s rebelliousness and argues that her agency\u2015her relationship with white community and her unorthodox behavior against Bottom laws\u2015brings up racial cohesion between African Americans and white Americans. Moreover, the study recommends that failure to perceive Sula\u2019s radicalism as a positive change\u2015as most critics overlook\u2015leads the readership to misunderstand Morrison\u2019s envisioning of American social Eldorado without racism.<br \/>\nKeywords: Morrison, African Americans, Whites, racism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">La pr\u00e9sente \u00e9tude fait le constat que Morrison se propose de combattre le racisme dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine \u00e0 travers ses personnages noirs. A travers Sula dans Sula, Morrison transcende les fronti\u00e8res raciales et la haine pour une vraie tol\u00e9rance et un vrai amour entre les Africains-Am\u00e9ricains et les Blancs. Scrutant les hypoth\u00e8ses de certains critiques, cet essai repense, du point de vue du f\u00e9minisme radical, l\u2019esprit de r\u00e9bellion de Sula et d\u00e9montre que sa relation avec la communaut\u00e9 blanche et son comportement non-orthodoxe contre les lois de Bottom concourent \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation du vivre-ensemble entre les Noirs et les Blancs.
