It argues that trickster stories manifest the transformation of a culture through the transformative characteristics of the trickster. In the process, transformation signifies in Love Medicine the possibility of opening mainstream representations and ideologies to re-interpretation, and the acceptance of the other. By the means of the bivocality of discourses and the Native American perception of pluralism, Love Medicine offers a reassuring epistemology by promoting a harmonious blending of cultures.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Keywords: transformation, trickster, native culture, bivocality, representations<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Le pr\u00e9sent article porte sur la transformation de la culture am\u00e9rindienne gr\u00e2ce aux r\u00e9cits de personnages jouant le r\u00f4le d\u2019imposteurs. Il met en exergue la mani\u00e8re dont les multiples facettes de ces personnages traduisent la transformation de la culture am\u00e9rindienne. Dans Love Medicine, ce processus de transformation offre les possibilit\u00e9s d\u2019une nouvelle interpr\u00e9tation des id\u00e9ologies dominantes et leur repr\u00e9sentation au sein de cette culture indienne d\u2019Am\u00e9rique et aussi celle de l\u2019acceptation de l\u2019autre.
