Cela se justifie par la repr\u00e9sentation litt\u00e9raire des romanciers am\u00e9rindiens, africains-am\u00e9ricains, mexicains-am\u00e9ricains et \u00ab autres minorit\u00e9s ethniques \u00bb qui portent \u00e0 la fois les voix distinctes de leurs communaut\u00e9s et de la culture eurocentrique dominante. Ainsi, se trouvant entre l\u2019expression de la culture sp\u00e9cifique d\u2019un groupe et de la culture g\u00e9n\u00e9rale dominante, la litt\u00e9rature multiculturelle contemporaine aux \u00c9tats-Unis met-elle en \u00e9vidence l\u2019ambivalence de l\u2019identit\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine issue de l\u2019h\u00e9ritage culturel, tout en mettant \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve le binarisme des concepts de l\u2019identit\u00e9 et de l\u2019alt\u00e9rit\u00e9.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Mots-cl\u00e9s : identit\u00e9, alt\u00e9rit\u00e9, autre monolithique, unit\u00e9 mosa\u00efque, litt\u00e9rature am\u00e9ricaine multiculturelle, roman, minorit\u00e9s ethniques, culture dominante<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Multicultural American literature focuses on the creative writings of writers of color from different cultural and linguistic groups. Alterity is a core question in the anthropology of that literature. This is justified in the novels by Native American, African-American, Mexican-American and \u201cother ethnic minority\u201d writers who are both the distinct voices of their own communities and the mainstream culture. Thus, expressing concurrently the culture of a specific group and the mainstream culture, contemporary multicultural literature in the United States highlights the ambivalence of American cultural identity and the binarism between the concepts of identity and alterity.
