But as time goes by and with the advent of technology and modernity, these African oral poets have opened their creative doors to changes in terms both of forms and contents. This paper shows an aspect of this occurring change in African traditional poetry. The point, here, is to discuss the biblical allusions in some African Ewe poets\u2019 songs which thereby qualify them as evangelists.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Keywords: oral tradition, poet, evangelist, song, Bible, Christian<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Traditionnellement, la po\u00e9sie orale africaine jouait un r\u00f4le de d\u00e9fense des cultures et des traditions. Mais avec le temps et l\u2019arriv\u00e9e de la technologie et la modernit\u00e9, on assiste \u00e0 un changement de ton ouvrant ainsi la voie aux po\u00e8tes traditionnels d\u2019apporter un changement sur la forme et le fond de leurs po\u00e8mes.
