R\u00e9sum\u00e9:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

La C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire conna\u00eet une croissance exceptionnelle de la t\u00e9l\u00e9phonie mobile, avec pr\u00e8s de 60 millions d\u2019abonnements pour environ 29 millions d\u2019habitants, soit un taux de p\u00e9n\u00e9tration sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 200%. Cette expansion s\u2019accompagne de l\u2019\u00e9mergence de la nomophobie, entendue comme la peur excessive d\u2019\u00eatre s\u00e9par\u00e9 de son t\u00e9l\u00e9phone mobile, encore peu \u00e9tudi\u00e9e dans le contexte ivoirien. La recherche analyse dans quelle mesure l\u2019hyperd\u00e9veloppement du mobile contribue \u00e0 la pr\u00e9valence et \u00e0 l\u2019intensification de la nomophobie chez les jeunes, en mobilisant la th\u00e9orie de la d\u00e9pendance technologique (G. P. Grant, 1969 ; C. DeBresson, 1986). Elle combine l\u2019exploitation de donn\u00e9es secondaires (rapports ARTCI) et une enqu\u00eate empirique aupr\u00e8s de jeunes utilisateurs de smartphones. Les r\u00e9sultats montrent qu\u2019une p\u00e9n\u00e9tration mobile massive, l\u2019essor du mobile money et de l\u2019internet mobile ainsi que la diffusion des smartphones cr\u00e9ent un attachement fonctionnel et \u00e9motionnel au t\u00e9l\u00e9phone, faisant de la privation d\u2019acc\u00e8s une source d\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 et de comportements nomophobes. L\u2019\u00e9tude souligne la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de dispositifs d\u2019\u00e9ducation et de sensibilisation aux usages responsables afin de pr\u00e9venir les effets pathologiques de cette d\u00e9pendance.<\/span>

Abstract:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire is experiencing exceptional growth in mobile telephony, with nearly 60 million subscriptions for approximately 29 million inhabitants, representing a penetration rate of over 200%. This expansion has been accompanied by the emergence of nomophobia, understood as an excessive fear of being separated from one’s mobile phone, which has yet to be studied extensively in the Ivorian context. The research analyzes the extent to which the hyper-development of mobile phones contributes to the prevalence and intensification of nomophobia among young people, drawing on the theory of technological dependence (G. P. Grant, 1969 ; C. DeBresson, 1986). It combines the use of secondary data (ARTCI reports) and an empirical survey of young smartphone users. The <\/span>results show that massive mobile penetration, the rise of mobile money and mobile internet, and the spread of smartphones create a functional and emotional attachment to the phone, making deprivation of access a source of anxiety and nomophobic behavior. The study highlights the need for education and awareness-raising initiatives on responsible use in order to prevent the pathological effects of this dependence.<\/span>
