It recommends greater integration of articulatory phonetics, International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) transcription, auditory discrimination, pronunciation practice, suprasegmental features, digital technologies, corpus-based materials and Gabonese linguistic realities. The study concludes that a renewed approach to phonetics and phonology teaching could contribute significantly to improving English proficiency and preparing Gabonese graduates for participation in an increasingly multilingual and internationally connected environment.<br \/>\nKeywords: English phonetics and phonology, pronunciation, English language teaching, Gabon universities,<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nL\u2019enseignement de la phon\u00e9tique et de la phonologie anglaises occupe une place fondamentale dans le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019une communication orale efficace, de la ma\u00eetrise de la prononciation et de la conscience linguistique chez les \u00e9tudiants universitaires apprenant l\u2019anglais comme langue \u00e9trang\u00e8re ou additionnelle. Le pr\u00e9sent article examine l\u2019enseignement de la phon\u00e9tique et de la phonologie anglaises dans les universit\u00e9s gabonaises, en accordant une attention particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 la relation entre les connaissances phon\u00e9tiques, l\u2019enseignement de la prononciation et la comp\u00e9tence communicative. Il recommande une int\u00e9gration accrue de la phon\u00e9tique articulatoire, de la transcription en alphabet phon\u00e9tique international (API), de la discrimination auditive, de la pratique de la prononciation, des caract\u00e9ristiques suprasegmentales, des technologies num\u00e9riques, des corpus linguistiques et des r\u00e9alit\u00e9s linguistiques gabonaises.
